12 oz boxing gloves have thinner padding and are generally not recommended for sparring unless they are for children. These 12 oz gloves are commonly used by teenagers and adults for heavy bag training. If you weigh less than 50 kg (110 lbs), you can also use 12 oz gloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you weigh 50 kilograms (110 pounds) or more, gloves weighing 14 to 16 oz are recommended. Generally, it is said that boxers weighing up to 86 kilograms (190 pounds) can use 14 oz gloves. However, based on personal experience, the punching power of athletes differs from that of occasional sports participants. Therefore, we recommend that athletes weighing up to 75 kilograms use 14 oz boxing gloves. If you are often told that you have powerful punches, it is also advisable, for safety reasons, to choose 16 oz boxing gloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
